Things are slowly going back to normal and it feels nice to see a little bit of hope. With Britney Spears free, Paris Hilton getting married, and Lindsay Lohan starring in a new movie, the world is healing as we know it. What better time than now for a mini trip back to the classic chick flicks that we have grown to love.

Time to get your pajamas and popcorn ready, we're going on a chick-flick marathon!


  • 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

From that rendition of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” up to Kat’s sob-inducing poem, this classic is the perfect start to this list.


PLOT: Kat, the exact opposite of her perky and popular younger sister, has to go out on a date so her sister can.


  • Wild Child (2008)

Emma Roberts and Alex Pettyfer? Wild Child is deserving of this spot, “Me Thinks”!


PLOT: Following a series of rebellious acts, Poppy’s father finally had enough of it and sends the Malibu brat into a strict English boarding school where Poppy is forced to get accustomed to a new lifestyle.


  • She’s The Man (2006)

Let’s be honest, you can’t talk about “chick-flick” without mentioning atleast one Amanda Bynes movie and She’s The Man is definitely ~gouda~


PLOT: A classic example of if you can’t beat them, join them. Viola, who has a real love for soccer, disguises herself as her twin brother in order to join their school’s soccer team. While pretending, romance brews around Viola and she is caught in a web of romantic problems.

Hillary Duff in a Cinderella movie? Ofcourse it’s gonna make the list.


PLOT: Samantha Montgomery finds hope in finding true love on their school’s Halloween dance amidst being with her wicked stepmother and two evil stepsisters.


  • Legally Blonde (2001)

“What, like it’s hard?” With all things pink and scented, this feminist and stereotype-breaking film is surely a favorite!


PLOT: A fashionable sorority president goes into law school to follow her ex-boyfriend in the hopes of getting back with him. With all odds against her, she manages to pass and get into Harvard Law shocking her ex-boyfriend among everyone else. On her journey, she discovers a lot of things about herself.


  • Mamma Mia! (2008)

Staying in a Greek Island while dancing to ABBA songs while having Ms Meryl Streep as your mother? I volunteer!


PLOT: Bride-to-be Sophie wants her real father to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. Thus she invites three of her mother’s ex boyfriends without telling her.


  • Princess Diaries (2001)

Ever heard bad things about Genovia? Exactly. Princess Diaries is one of the best movies out there. PS We’re still waiting for the third film.


PLOT: Mia Thermopolis’ whole world turns upside down as she finds out that she is an heiress to the throne of Genovia. From being invisible, Mia Thermopolis is thrown into the spotlight and she wades her way through her sixteenth year.


  • Bring It On (2000)

A chick-flick movie about cheerleading rivalry? Definitely a cult fave.


PLOT: The Toro cheerleading squad scrambles to come up with a winning routine when they find out that their former captain only stole their best routine.


  • Clueless (1995)

“Ugh, as if!” Yes, as if Clueless wouldn’t be mentioned. A classic movie featuring the life of a 90s Beverly Hills teen, Clueless was bound to be a timeless hit.


PLOT: It girl, Cher, shows a different side of her proving that she is more than just their school’s queen bee.


  • Mean Girls (2004)

Get in loser, we’re about to rewatch Mean Girls for the nth time.


If you don’t know this movie, I don’t know what else to tell you. The number of iconic lines that came from this film can make up a whole different language. The cultural impact this movie holds? That’s So Fetch!
