Most important thing to consider when you plan on decluttering your home is TIME. Establish a plan that you will stick to, think about the day and time you would like to get this done that works with your schedule. It would be ideal if you would set a certain realistic goal - as simple as scheduling a 10 - minute time to clear out specific drawer.

  • Divide and Ditch

In order to organize your things more effeciently, get everything out first. Take everything out of the drawers, cabinets, shelves and other storages so you can pick out things according to its designation - separate the things you can still use from the things you might donate or give away and the things not needed anymore. In this way, you will find your storages empty and newly ready to be filled out with things you want to store and keep.

  • "Home" for what you own

Once you start designating spots for specific items, it will become easier to put things back where they belong. It is important to organize your things where they belong, according to their use and where they look most fitting. And most importantly, home your things to storages you think is the best places to store what you have. Items you use on a daily basis should be in easy-to-reach spots — your kids will be less likely to make a mess after using them.
